EXCLUSIVE VIRTUAL THRUSTER

PRODUCT LAUNCH

Yacht Controller Virtual Thruster Software Makes Its Debut in Palm Beach on March 24, 2023.

The patent-pending software works in tandem with Yacht Controller’s Dual Band technology. Yacht Group, the official YACHT CONTROLLER dealer for the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will present the new Yacht Controller Virtual Thruster software at the Palm Beach International Boat Show (PBIBS) this week.

Working in conjunction with Yacht Controller’s Dual Band technology from Nemesis, Maximo, and Supremo, which debuted at the 2023 Miami International Boat Show (MIBS), the new Virtual Thruster software, pending patent, allows programming variations in engine propeller rotation speed that simulate virtual thruster control for lateral movements of the vessel without a true bow or stern thruster. This feature will also be useful for boats equipped with only a bow thruster.

The innovative feature further enhances the boating maneuvering experience, particularly useful for vessels without maneuvering thrusters, for catamarans with hull designs that do not allow for easy installation of directional thrusters, as well as for trawlers, sportfish, and others.

“We are pleased to once again lead the wireless control segment of the nautical industry, making control easier and more comfortable for boating enthusiasts with our Virtual Thruster,” says Gerald Berton, president of The Yacht Group.

Anthony Valiente, Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner of The Yacht Group, stated: “The Virtual Thruster is a game changer when docking vessels without a stern thruster or completely without thrusters. The 64-bit Quad Core processor of the Yacht Controller Next Gen Series is the foundation for bringing the Virtual Thruster to life. With this processing power, we are excited to bring this functionality to market along with future updates!”

The Yacht Controller system by Yacht Group has been used by over 26,000 owners in the last 20 years since its debut at the Miami International Boat Show in 2003. The company is supported by international teams in research and development, engineering, and production, as well as a worldwide network of sales and support dealers.
