Yacht Controller’s Dual Band offering focuses on three wireless remote control models: Dual Band, Dual Band Plus and En-Joy as well as the JCS Plus fixed joystick, but other news are just around the corner.
When you think of a wireless remote to control the boat you immediately think of Yacht Controller.
An undisputed leadership that has lasted since its introduction on the market, at the dawn of the 2000s and, despite being confronted with a series of imitations, has never known any crisis.
Even now that the maneuvering joysticks are everywhere and more and more evolved, none of them can boast themselves to move where it is best believed to moor or maneuver as allows Yacht Controller and, to guarantee its efficiency, there are more than 15.000 devices installed and running from years without any single accident.
Yacht Controller, three models and a joystick
Over the years, the offer has become increasingly complex, but above all more evolved: a little because the needs of precision and reliability grew but also because the competition that focused primarily on price needs to be fought with quality and technological evolution.
Not surprisingly, this year the “entry-level” model Smart is gone out of the catalog to to give way to the two Dual Band and Dual Band Plus versions and then to the En-Joy model that, with the mini joystick combined with the manual functions and automatic, promises to solve any doubt about command solutions. Those who want to stay on the traditional remote control can also combine it with the JPS Plus Joystick.
Yacht Controller Dual band and Dual Band plus
Yacht Controller Dual Band provides more security because it has two different transmission bands in order to avoid any interference caused by the presence of any nearby equipment that doesn’t meet the provisions of law.
The transmitter was added a button that allows a receiver on, to take the lead to moor.Thanks to the special silicon levers, guaranteed for over 200 thousand actions, it can simultaneously control the two engines, the bow and stern thruster and the anchor winch.The transmitter is water resistant and floating, the battery change is fast and the mini-batteries are easy to find anywhere.
The main features of Yacht Controller Dual Band are:
- double receiver on two different frequency bands, to ensure the perfect operation even in case of external interference or failure of one of the bands;
– multiprocessor structure (a central CPU and a microprocessor for each function) that gives a double control on each function, making unwanted commands impossible in case of failure;
– double relay for each control output that prevents unwanted drives due to faults;
– modular design, easily modifiable in case you want to add new features. The change of the boat will not require the purchase of a new Yacht Controller but simply replacing the modul in case of different control head;
- LED on the front panel of the remote control that signal the correct functioning of the electronics, the active controls and, in case of malfunction, the type of fault;
– the beeper not only signals the loss of connection with the transmitter but also the different states of operation and alarm.
Yacht Controller Dual Band Plus adds a five-profile acceleration module to the characteristics of the model just described, which allows to increase the action of the engines if the conditions require it, for example in the presence of strong winds.It can also command two anchors.
Yacht Controller En-Joy:
The En-Joy wireless joystick combines the practicality of the wireless remote control to that of the joystick in a single device. To the characteristics common to the Dual Band model are added:
– automatic operation mode, the classic, with motors and thrusters used simultaneously to facilitate mooring maneuvers;
- manual mode of operation, with which you can manage the mooring maneuver and activate the thrusters both with the engines or separately;
- acceleration management;
- managing up to two winches;
Yacht Controller En-Joy is equipped with a mini-joystick: simply place the electronic control levers on the boat in the “neutral” position enable the receiver, turn on the transmitter and activate the socket in command via the corresponding button.From this moment the system is operative from any point of the boat, with just a movement of a finger, will be simultaneously activated right and left engines and stern and bow thrusters, allowing you to maneuver the boat in any direction, simply, without risks and dangers, with precision and relaxation.By removing the pressure on the joystick the system will automatically go into neutral.
Yacht Controller JCS Plus:
If you would prefer to keep the joystick on the bridge instead, that’s Yacht Controller JCS Plus.
Easy to install, does not require complex interventions, invasive and expensive in the engine room, it is not necessary to wire cables along the boat but simply, once identified the type of electronic throttle, install it near of the control station.If, however, the vessel was already equipped with a Yacht Controller Dual Band system, to install it will be sufficient to connect a connector to the Yacht Controller receiver already present on board.Unlike other joystick on the market, Yacht Controller JCS Plus offers maximum flexibility of use thanks to the automatic or manual mode as described above to En-Joy.It is also the only one to be equipped with a control panel with LCD screen, visible even in the light of the sun, which will allow, thanks to a clear and simple design with boat indicated the engines and propellers, to understand what exactly is activated in the maneuvers that are being performed.
From JCS panel you can configure the different operating modes, choose the language, units of measure, display an accurate diagnosis and many other data.With control head equipped with digital protocol, Yacht Controller JCS Plus allows you to manage the acceleration with different settings depending on the percentage chosen and delivery time of the same.If the windlass option (single or double) is available from the JCS panel, the function can be controlled with the chain counter.
This is the current offer of Yacht Controller, but other innovations are being prepared and undergoing testing. The goal is to present them in the autumn boat shows, and we will be ready to present them.
